A social enterprise organization, African Boreholes Initiative (ABI) Ltd. was founded and registered in Kenya in 2007.

African Boreholes Initiative Ltd (ABI)
is a company committed to providing high quality products and services which empower our customers to gain access to the fundamental elements which ensure life and good health. For 10 years that has been exemplified through our borehole drilling, pump installation and water management services across the country of Kenya where some degree of drought has impacted the society for the past decade. Access to clean water is something every individual needs… water is life.

Now we are pleased to establish our Organic Agriculture Division, with the creation and launching of the Organic Amiran Farmer’s Kit. Designed to ensure the Kenyan farmer can raise the highest quality natural, chemical-free, organic fruits and vegetables and get the appropriate economic return. He will have access to local, regional and international markets. At the same time he will produce a product for every Kenyan mother who desires to provide the most nutritionally superior meals for the health of her family. Organic agriculture is key element in establishing long-term food security. Chemical-free farming means soil preservation. Backed by our agro-support contract in which our organic specialists work hand in hand with the farmer to make certain that every customer has the best opportunity to attain the maximum projected yield from his field. This is an example of our commitment to the principle that: our customers’ success is our success.

African Boreholes Initiative Ltd. in partnership with Amiran and funding from USAID and SEAF held the grand opening for the center in early July 2013. The training center will provide hands-on training in organic agriculture; sale of organic produce and organic inputs; farm tours and presentations. Get it touch with us today and get started farming now!

EDWARD HEINRICH NAIROBI, Kenya — American media recently raised a storm over the city of Detroit’s decision to cut off water to almost 5,000 residences behind on their bills.
